If you want a quiet tool that does one thing (a private tunnel) and does it with auditable code, Mullvad is built for you.

Consider alternatives if your primary use case is streaming Netflix from another region, if you want a VPN bundled with a password manager or encrypted cloud storage, or if you need a polished app with a map-based server picker. Mullvad's apps are functional and clean, but they prioritize configuration over polish. None of that is a problem for the audience the product is built for.
